An open letter to; The Oppressor, The Ignorant, and The Indifferent.

You have tried to silence me and my people from the earliest record of history, until now. The lives of billions of families that have been generationally impacted, by the action of your forefathers. Children as young as four are able to recall their first racist encounter, before the Tooth Fairy arrives.
Black Men are the poster child of violence, and Black Women are the poster child of abuse, and beauty standards.
Yet, although the Black Man and Woman have been your model for all that is undesirable, you do not hesitate to take fragments of our rich and large culture, to legislate as your own.
It has now taken the death of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery (on camera), for you to realise the extent of your actions. It should not take the blood of many men, women, and children to date, for you to understand the pain that we feel right now.
I never thought I would see the day, where White Privilege becomes threatened by three words.
BLACK. LIVES. MATTER.
Your actions to sterilise and silence our people, from the first slave you stole from our land, have been intentional. Your lack of accountability, and the protection you afford others that don’t share our (Black) skin colour, is somewhat telling of your guilt.
Right now we are angry, we are revolting. But I have one thing to say to you;
We *WILL* keep pushing on.
We *WILL* fight for our right.
We *WILL* never stand down
We *WILL* receive justice.
The death of George Floyd particularly, has caused a stirring in us, a deep stirring of pain, and has poured gas on the fire you try so hard to quench.
The fact that you have tried to silence one voice, but have had the voices of many bite back at you, prove one vital thing.
Black Men, Women, and Children can NEVER be silenced. Let me repeat that, Black People will NEVER be silenced. You
come with artillery, but we fight with the power of our pain and unity. This is your warning.
Yours Powerfully,
Chantal.
